FAQ
Another question?contact@laekat.com
How much does a project cost?
As a guide, excluding VAT: a technical work package from €6,000, an AI feature from €16,000, a first software version from €20,000. A typical B2B portal costs €30,000 to €55,000 excl. VAT. Our grid gives you a ballpark for your case; we agree on the final price together after reviewing your project.
How long does a project take?
As a guide, depending on scope and the team you book: 1 to 2 weeks for scoping, 2 to 5 weeks for a technical work package, 4 to 8 weeks for an AI feature, 6 to 12 weeks for a first software version. A large software project: timeline set at scoping, then in phases. During development, you try each feature on your test environment as soon as it exists.
How big is the team?
From 1 to 10 people depending on the project: engineers, a product manager, a designer and QA. One accountable lead runs delivery; from three people, that’s the product manager.
How do you keep us updated?
At least two written updates a week on what is done, what is next and what needs your input, a note with every new version, and a test environment open at any time. Few meetings, only when they help.
How do you use AI to build software?
AI agents help us analyse, code, test and document. Every change is reviewed and verified by an engineer, who remains accountable for it.
Where does the assistant’s estimate come from?
From a scope and cost grid set by the team. Hermine, our AI assistant, reads your description and asks the questions; the grid calculates the range. It is a guide, not a quote: we agree on the final price together after reviewing your project, in a written quote.
What do we get at delivery?
A live version, the source code, documentation and the access set out in the quote, so you can run or evolve the software.
What happens after go-live?
Support, maintenance and new features are offered separately, with their own scope and price. Recurring costs (cloud, licences, AI usage) are identified in the quote.
Do you work with agencies, and in English?
Yes. We take on work packages or full projects as subcontractors, and work in English as well as French.
